Diving in Zanzibar
Coral reef structures, mostly surrounding Unguja and Pemba, are very rich about marine life. They offer good visibility (20 – 60 metres) and a year-round average water temperature of 27°C. Most of diving centres provide courses using the international PADI system of diver education, being suitable both for learners and for experts who want to ugrade their qualification – experienced scuba divers can enjoy exciting wall dives, night dives and drift dives. What can you expect to see? Amazing coral gardens and large gamefish (barracuda, kingfish, tuna and wahoo), Napoleonic wrasse, manta rays and sharks, and a huge variety of Indo-Pacific marine fauna.

Sailing in Zanzibar
This could be a great chance of catching stunning sunsets from the deck of a sailing dhow. These traditional boats are nice and comfortable: during your trip you’ll have the possibility of shooting great photos and making short stops for snorkeling. For very exigent travellers, full serviced dhow cruises are available – including relaxing time, sport activities, but also great food and other luxury extras.

Fishing in Zanzibar
Even if it is generally advised to avoid the Monsoon season, tropical climate allows to enjoy great fishing sessions during the whole year. Two are the most relevant fishing seasons: the one of Yellowfin Tuna from August to October, and the one of Marlin from December to March. Best locations are Nungwi and between Zanzibar and Pemba.
