Zanzibar is host to many historic ruins that are part of its history. The Zanzibar government has developed a receipt called “ Ancient Monuments of Zanzibar” receipt and for the price of Tsh 200 you can visit the following:

  • THE OLD FORT (Stone Town)
  • HAMAMNI TURKISH BATHS  (Stone Town)
  • MARUHUBI PAKACE RUINS
  • MTONI PALACE RUINS
  • KIDCHI PERSIAN BATHS
  • FUKUCHANI RUINS
  • TUMBATU RUNS
  • DUNGA PALACE OF THE MYWINYI MKUU
  • MANGAPWANI CAVE AND CAVE CHAMBERS (two locations)
  • BI KHOLE RUINS
  • KIZIMKHAZI MOSQU

Each ticket is valid for one day.
All excursions can be arranged and booked at our tour office ‘Mrembo Tours’ situated at the hotel.
