Kizimkazi / Swimming with Dolphins

On the south part of the island is the sleepy little fishing village of Kisimkasi. Once the foremost settlement on the East Coast of Africa there is little evidence of that now as you walk by the sleepy locals and fishing vessels.

From the southern beach the villagers run an excursion to swim with dolphins. This is a good opportunity to view these intelligent mammals from a distance or even swim relatively close to them if you are lucky. It is also an excellent way to view the other abundant marine life such as stingrays and turtles.
